Apple releases sneak preview on iPhone 4.0

After launching iPad successfully,Apple is now concentrating on the release of the new version of iPhone OS which is iPhone 4.0.Apple will be releasing a preview on the same to users tomorrow i.e on April 8 2010.
Many new features have been added to this iPhone and features are more of software and OS based and it is not hardware based.Main aim to address many features which are actually considered as drawback in the previous versions of iPhone.

New Features in iPhoneOS 4.0 compared to iPhoneOS 3.0

Multitasking is enabled in this new version and with this multitasking iPhone will allow users to perform multitouch.There will be a dedicated home key and on double clicking the same will display all the details multi programs running on iPhone

Enables users to send email attachments which was actually a main drawback in the previous version

Ability to club multiple email accounts so that all the emails of different accounts will be available in a single inbox.However this feature is not yet confirmed and it will known only after they release some preview on iPhone OS 4.0

Similar to Google Maps for navigation Apple has also designed a new software which provides the navigation details and it may also have the ability to voice over the navigation details.So there is a new feature which is voice guided GPS navigation

Support for handy rotation lock switch

Ability to create group for contacts so that sending SMS to a group of people or may be friends will be very easy.

Apart from these new features there are also some common wish list that has to be added in Apple iPhone.Some of them includes photo editing,complete preemptive multitasking,file browsing and much more.

Upcoming HP Slate trying to compete Apple iPad

HP slate expected to be out by this June is bringing in some new features over the iPad features.So it is having almost all the features of iPad.HP slate has now brought in another new feature before getting released.It is planning to have some built in camera and also a second video camera.With all these cameras video and teleconferencing will be easy with HP slate.

HP Slate has some more features when compared to Apple iPad

Support for Adobe flash
Runs on Windows7 operating system
Provides USB connectors
memory card support

Price could be around €400 and in dollars about $546

Though HP slate offers some additional features than iPad it also stills lags behind providing local file storage.Any user who has an idea of replacing their laptop with these tablets computers will have to rethink only because of the above drawback

Finally Apple iPad is out from production unit

Those who have preordered Apple iPad would have had some hands on with the device.All customers who have preordered Apple iPad would have got their iPad by this time and ofcourse celebrations of Easter with the new iPad.
This article will summarize some the initial user comments

First comment immediately after unboxing the iPad is that some felt its little heavy as like other HP notebooks.But the pack was initially having all the accesories along with the keyboard.But ofcourse iPad is really sleek and weight less in the tablet computer series

Some felt uncomfortable in holding the iPad.But may after days pass by and because of its features comfortness would really not matter.

If complete multitasking is enabled in iPad then there are many chances that laptop might get replaced with iPad to a great extent.But for now there is no effective multitasking in iPad though there are plans to include the same in future.

With iPad its now very easy to carry your entire reading library wherever you go like as you do with music and videos with iPod/iPhone.

Greatest comment is that users who have purchased iPad feels that its really fast and browsing is really made easy with single command and swipe transitions are also really good and effective than iTouch.

With iPad not supporting Adobe flash and with some websites not reliable in small netbook screens some felt difficult to view and read contents in iPad on some of the websites.

Though iPad can be used more or less like a laptop when viewing movies,reading books and playing games.But there is a really difficulty in using word,excel or powerpoint for classroom and business purposes.The problem is that there is no local storage of files.You should mail the documents and open the same from the mailing applications.So iPad is now really very useful in receiving all sorts of files like word,excel,video files,e books but not very comfortable in doing a new one

Some users have commented that its now easier to sleek,thin and less weighing device than to carry a netbook.But it all depends upon the task you do with the netbook.If you are mostly engaged with surfing emails,reading books,sending and receiving mails etc then iPad is a great choice.
