Hats off and many thanks to Charles P.Thacker Turing Award Winner

Charles P.Thacker is not only the winner of ACM A.M. Turing Award but all has many like IEEE John von Neumann medal,a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery,Distinguished Alumnus in Computer Science at U.C. Berkeley,Charles Stark Draper Prize,and the most important IEEE John von Neumann Medal to his credit

He is given the most prestigious technical award for his invention of first modern personal computer.He is also the co-founder of Ethernet LAN and he takes the credit for designing the prototype of Networked modern computers.

He was also been part of other major invention “Laser Printer” which is really a boon for people who rely on printing.

He is now being part of Microsoft Silicon Valley and Bill Gates has said that “Chuck played a pivotal role at Microsoft in the development of the Tablet PC”

Bill Gates has given him the term “PC Pioneer”
So now we could realise the person who is behind our joy with modern computers.

Aircel launches full QWERTY “Peek” for Rs 2999

A new device in India to just check mails and only mails.The device is very handy and it has the full “QWERTY” keyboard which is also an added advantage.Cost of the device also seems to be reasonable and its only 2999

But it would have been better if the user is allowed to make atleast a phone call.Also we need to pay for the internet connection provided by aircel with some offers in the initial package

This device will be helpful only for the users who are in need of handy device like another cell phone.Otherwise we can even opt for mini laptops that are soon to be released in the market by DellUntil iPad and other similar devices are launched in India this new device will really be useful for the business people and other IT people.

In an unusual way of any communication device today,Apple has come out with a new support program which is nothing but their battery replacement program.Battery replacement is not just the battery but the whole device.Though it sounds really good very quickly, we will realise and start thinking of the personal contents saved till date.Only option is to have backup and copy the contents later into the new device.
They also have several restrictions in the program.So one cannot be very sure of whether their will be fit for replacement.
