Beta version of Encrypted search in Google

Try browsing google with just https instead of http and now you can see the beta version of Google search through SSL.This is the full link that leads you to the encrypted versions
https:\\www.google.com

You could wonder how this encrypted version would be of great help.It helps a lot of users from blocking the search contents visible to other websites or even to other hackers. But still the search content will be visible to Google as it will be available in their database. Its obvious that Google will be having complete details on search but there is some good amount of trust on Google as the contents will not be shared and it will be kept secure.IT administrators can have good benefit through Google search since the search traffic is kept private between you and Google

There are also some more benefits for the business users.First and foremost benefit is that the Google search traffic cannot be intercepted.Searches that are done through google are not archived in the browser history.Autofill option is also disabled if the search is tried using SSL in Google

There are many features available in Internet Explorer version 8 which acts as a support to the encrypted version of Google.IE secure features are available inside the InPrivate browser mode.If you are into the InPrivate browser mode then many contents like Web history, cookies, temporary Internet files, or other data will not be traced and will not be available inside the browser.
But the only drawback is that it cannot protect the data crossing the Internet

Only drawback of Google’s encrypted search is that the contents URL will be available inside browser History and other one is that the encrypted version is available only for contents but not for the images, maps etc.So to get the full benefit of security its better to use InPrivate mode of Internet Explorer 8 along with Encrypted version of Google

Pwn2Own contest 2010 – Many exciting hack on mobile devices and browsers

Pwn2Own Contest 2010 is over and we could see the data and the browsers got hacked by many talented hackers and they also won the device they hacked and many got the cash prizes.
First iPhone SMS data got hacked in 20 seconds. This happened by just directing the user to a mallacious website and with that the hacker was able to access entire database and he was able to retreive the sent, received and even deleted text messages and going further even photos and the details of personal contacts can easily be traced and hacked.
The hacking formula was later submitted to Apple for further analysis
With the help of these contests all the browser and mobile device organisation can get full details on hacking mechanism and can also deisgn the devices in such a way that it becomes highly secured.
Next important hack was on Safari browser. It is pretty interesting that Miller (hacker of Safari browser) was able to hack the same browser since the year 2008.So this is the third time he is hacking the Safari browser and winning cash prize.
Almost all the major browsers like IE8,Firefox and Safari were hacked and the non-jailbroken iPhone was also hacked and that too its entire SMS database was hacked in a very short time of 20 seconds.

Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Beta Review

Internet Explorer 8 Beta released yesterday really excited me, this version of IE is supposed to be following open and widely accepted standards. Usually whenever Im doin some site designing I have found my site either working with IE (mostly) and will break up in Firefox. Since majority viewers use IE, I sometimes forget Firefox. So it was always  bad news for users of firefox.

Internet Explorer 8 IE8, Following the new standards is a big boost to other browsers

Not only this site ,But I have seen several sites rendering differently in IE and Firefox. Also It seems Firefox has recently Adapted itself to suit IE’s rendering. The main concern area of IE7 and previous  IE versions was the CSS rendering. Since Microsoft had its own way of understanding CSS the sites looked awful if written for IE and rendered in some other browser.

So what does IE 8 do? Microsoft has enabled IE8 to follow the web standards by default. So is it good? Yes it is good in the long term.. But bad for web designers in the short term. IE8’s default rendering breaks most(yes it does) site’s  layout(including this site). And strangely this site works well with both IE7 and Firfox(not as good as IE7) but only breaks with IE8, which indicates how much Firefox has tweaked itself to survive with Microsoft OS.

But there is a “Emulate IE7” button in IE8 which saved me this time, you can always click emulate IE7 and close all windows and open them your browser will work in IE7 mode..as a charm and my website works 🙂 . So what does IE8 add to our arsenal, it helps developers have a real feel of what users will see after launch of IE8. With open standards and buzz created by this it is expected IE8 will occupy 50% off all internet hits and completely replace IE7.

So any other change in IE8 from IE7? As far as I have seen nothing much differs, its all feautures of IE7 with much more stability and fixes.. that is IE8 for you. Will get back to you with more news if available in future. By the way if you want to try IE8 Beta You can follow the link below.
