Here goes one more myth, the costlier the device better the quality. I have heard from so many of my friends how sony Displays are better than samsung and others and despite the fact both displays are manufactured together. But now after Sony has sold its stake in the joint venture S-lcd with Samsung, the concept of Sony's display is no more.
Sony was forced to sell its stake after many years of losses in its LCD tv business. The future looks bleak for Sony branded TV and Sony might just use the brand name while outsourcing parts from South Korean neighbors like Samsung and lg.
